Stage 5 - Construction Support
At this point in the process, we are on site and working with a team of contractors. It's important to be hands-on in order to prevent any mistakes from happening.
Supporting Contractors
We tend to visit a project every couple of weeks to check in on progress and answer any questions that have arisen.
Our plans are vital when on site, as they are the reference point for making sure everything is being built correctly. An interior designer's role at this point is to support the contractors in doing their job and to spot any mistakes early on in order to get them resolved smoothly.
With all building work, but particularly historic and listed buildings, there can be challenges and unexpected surprises along the way. Be open to plans needing to evolve and remain as flexible as possible.
