From beds and borders to staking and succession, you’ll learn how to work with annuals, biennials, and perennials to build dynamic displays. You’ll explore seasonal gardening techniques and learn how to time your tasks and plant combinations to bring a touch of Sissinghurst into your own garden.
Discover one of the world’s most beautiful gardens
This course offers a unique opportunity to see how the gardens of Sissinghurst Castle evolve over the space of a year. The course will be released in three parts.
In part 1, you’ll meet Troy in the gardens in Autumn and learn how to prepare and manage beds, plant narcissi, roses, pears, and perennials, and make the most of seasonal bulbs.

Discover how to care for your garden as it transitions from late winter into early spring. Learn practical pruning techniques, from fruit trees to spring-flowering shrubs, along with expert tips for training and tying in roses and clematis. Troy also shares the seasonal beauty of the Nuttery and Sissinghurst in Spring.

The final part explores the gardens during later Spring into Summertime. You’ll learn how to design a planting scheme similar to Sissinghurst’s, starting with mapping out a bed, layering plants, and incorporating shrubs, climbers, perennials, bulbs, and annuals.
