Lesson Summary

  • Before using the fabric, it should be washed and ironed.
  • When printing, a trolley with a tray comes in handy.
  • Practise your print on paper before printing onto your fabric.
  • I use a linen-cotton blend that is frequently milled and woven in Belgium.
  • Plain linen tablecloths and napkins can be purchased from Zara Home, La Redoute, and Etsy.
  • Leaving the creases in the napkin can be a helpful guide.
  • Some linens are coloured and bleached, while others are natural.
  • My table runner is made from a roll of printed fabric that has been hemmed.
  • I use Permaset Aqua Fabric & Textile Screen Printing Ink in Light Blue and Blue B you can buy them here.
