- Block printing is an excellent way to bring colour and pattern into your home.
- You can print on a variety of surfaces, worn materials particularly print well.
- Everything from tea towels to wallpaper can be block printed.
- Many of the blocks that I use are hand carved in Jaipur, India.
- Alternatively, you can cut lino blocks that have been pre-mounted onto an MDF block.
Your Assignment
Look around your house for old scraps of material to practice printing on. This could be anything from old linen to old pillowcases being given new life.
