Botanical Flower Pressing
At JamJar Edit, we seek a lot of inspiration for our artwork compositions from the flower pressers of the 16th century and the beautiful herbariums they created.
To create a pressing suitable for an authentic herbarium or to use as a botanical reference, every part of the plant must be included; the roots, leaves, bud, stem, flower head and ideally a seed head.

Inspired by the Sussex garden and woods that surrounded her childhood home, JamJar Flowers was founded by Melissa Richardson in 2009, with her signature style reflecting the simple charm of seasonal British flowers artfully arranged in jam jars.
