Ceilings Matter
Ceilings are often overlooked in home design, but I view them as another opportunity to add texture and light.
In my home, I left the ceiling joists exposed, enhancing the rustic feel and adding visual interest. Later, I painted them white to brighten the space, while still preserving the natural texture.
I also installed multiple rooflights throughout my home, allowing me to enjoy views of the sky and maximise natural light. These rooflights are strategically placed in areas like the bedroom and shower, offering a unique connection to nature from different parts of the home.
