Indoor-Outdoor Living
My home design blurs the line between indoor and outdoor living. Large windows and sliding doors provide constant views of the surrounding woodland, creating a sense of connection with nature. These openings also flood the interiors with natural light, contributing to the home's serene ambiance.
To complement my indoor design, I carefully planned my outdoor spaces. I created distinct zones for relaxing, dining, and playing, mirroring the layout of my open-plan living area. The outdoor furniture and materials were chosen to harmonise with the indoor aesthetic, ensuring a seamless transition between the two spaces.
A key tip: Consider how much space to allocate to windows, as it comes at the cost of storage. In our home, for example, we have less kitchen storage because we prioritised larger doors to enhance light and openness.
