The Buying Guide Part 3: The Homeware Shop

Here I am at Daylesford Organic, a great homeware store. My china is a mixture of pale green cabbage bowls and plates from Daylesford, which also makes good everyday glass and other great homeware. You want your basic china to be things you can replace so that you don't have a dwindling collection. The Conran Shop is also great for buying china, it has an excellent china room.

I am very fond of baskets and have acquired a number of them. Put your basket to creative use by using it to store kindling and firelighters, toilet paper, and tea towels by the kitchen sink.

Similar Shops to Daylesford

Fortnum & Masons, Claridges, Royal Worcester and The Conran Shop are other homeware stores in the UK that sell china, baskets and general homeware.

Wheel & Barrow, Papaya and Domayne sell great homeware in Austrailia.

Macy's and Portmeirion are excellent places to buy china in the United States.

Larger Cross in Oldwick, New Jersey, is a fantastic boutique that combines country house basics with modern design.
