Props and Flower Quantities
Most floral displays will require props in one form or another; whether this is vases, plinths or a stand. It's good to get an overview of what is required early on to give yourself time to source.
Props
Hiring props can be expensive, but is often necessary for large events, as I simply don't have the storage space to buy and keep everything.
For smaller events, it's much more cost-effective to invest in a collection of staple items that you can keep in your workspace and use time and time again.
When I'm planning an event, props have their own spreadsheet, and I will input the costs and quantities required for each section.
Estimating Flower Quantities
My best advice would be to mock up an element of each section so that you have an amount of both flowers and props required that can then be multiplied by however many of those elements you have within a section.
I would always advise adding 10% on top so you have some wiggle room.
