Creating the Perfect Guest Bedroom
I love to host, and creating a relaxing and luxurious space for my visitors is really important to me. There are a few things I always include when preparing a welcoming guest bedroom.
These are signature elements of my style DNA, and mainstays in any guest bedroom I create:
- Crisp, white bedding
- Eyelet or white cotton drapery
- A four-poster bed or a bed teester
- Things to read, including current novels and magazines
- Goblets of cold fresh water with drinking glasses
- Plenty of pillows that have been starched and ironed
- A plant or something green from the garden
- An element of scent
- Something joyful to look at, such as artwork
- A functioning closet with matching hangers
- A phone charger and Wi-Fi details
- Reading lights
- A beautiful canopy to add grandeur, even in a small room

Born and raised in Palm Beach, Florida, Amanda’s childhood instilled in her a love of coastal living.
