The Sitting Room
In this room, I have respected the history of my home by using original pieces that existed before. This helps to give a feeling of timelessness.
- As the sitting room is a space that I use a lot and a place to spend time to relax, the soft furnishings are crucial. Don't place them too far away from one another as it doesn't make for a convivial atmosphere.
- Remember that you're telling a story of how you want to live by the way you decorate your house. I like to keep a journal to see how a room has evolved over time, which I can also use as a reference in the future to remind me how I have created a certain mood.
