Designing Spaces with Purpose

As an interior designer, Alex champions the value of having a regimented design process, and in this course, she shares the exact four-step process she uses for every project. First, understanding the narrative.

For the second stage of her four-step process, all of the information and knowledge gathered in the research stage is then translated into a detailed design brief - and Alex shows you how.

You will then move onto the third stage of Alex’s process - and it is at this point the creativity really begins. Alex talks through where to find inspiration and when to push the boundaries of design.

For the fourth and final stage of my 4-step process, it’s time to look at floor plans and how to translate your design into white modelling.

With the bones of your design complete, Alex talks through how to go about selecting fabrics, materials and colours for each room.
