A Foliage Ceiling Mural - Part 2 - Composition
The next stage in the process is to think about how your composition will come together and to create your mock-up.
Tips for Your Creating Mock-up
- You may wish to do several sketches and try out different ideas before landing on the final mock-up. It's a great opportunity to experiment and be creative.
- It can be helpful to first think about your most dominant element, and where this might be placed.
- Consider the architectural elements that may impact your design - you don't necessarily need to draw them but think about how your motifs may be shaped around them.
- Play around with how different colours within your palette sit together, and what looks most effective.
- Rather than be too prescriptive, your mock-up should convey the feeling and atmosphere you want to create.
You Will Need:
- Sheets of paper or card
- Your inspirational references
- Emulsion paint in a colours of your choice
- Pencil
- A selection of small paintbrushes
- Paint palette
- 3 x water jars filled with water
