Living Colour

• 2LG uses colour to make a statement about who they are.
• Colour is a vehicle for them to be the change that they want to see.

Colours Used in Their Home

• Their base neutrals are based on the trio of colours they have chosen.
• Neutrals work all over the house and bring everything together, grounding the scheme.
• You can save the boldest colour for a guest room, a toilet or a transitional space, as you don't spend a lot of time there.

Accent Colour

• They use Pepto-Bismol pink as the accent colour. It is Mylands London FTT005 paint.
• The walls and doors are painted in Mylands Rose Theatre.
• The main space is painted in Mylands Rose Theatre, Threadneedle and softer pinks.

Proportion

• Proportion is very important.
• Threadneedle and the Mylands London FTT005 appear in small quantities giving moments of excitement.
• The proportion of Mylands London FTT005 as you journey through the house.
• They've built the bright pink into the scheme so it doesn't feel wild, but rather has a place within the property.

White

• They haven't used white anywhere in their scheme.
• White can often feel like an easy solution, but Jordan and Russell argue that white needs to be mindfully thought about.

Bold Colour

• If you choose a colour because you love it, it will work for you, no matter what.
• Just because something is playful and fun doesn't mean it can't be sophisticated.
• Colour has been grounded in the history of design.
• Add a selection of neutrals to your three colours.
• If your three colours were neutral, e.g. brown or white, you can choose additional colours that fit alongside them.

Through-Line

• Colour is an incredible way to bring things together.
• Colour can help you tie everything together in your home.

Think deeply about the colours that fill you with joy. Watch a few of your favourite films and look at the colour palette. Canva and Coolors.co are great websites for creating colour palettes from an image. Digital Synopsis is a great website for finding film colour palettes.
