Veere introduces you to his second home, Gazebo. Situated just outside the city of Tangier in Morocco, it has been built on a clifftop overlooking The Straits of Gibraltar with views across to Spain. Over the last ten years, he has transformed what was previously a derelict cottage into the home of his dreams.
You will also be joining me at my home, Gazebo, situated just outside the city of Tangier in Morocco. It has been built on a clifftop overlooking The Straits of Gibraltar with views across to Spain.
When I first bought the property, it was a little cottage on an overgrown cliff hillside, and I have spent the last ten years building the house it is today, as well as landscaping a vast garden and terrace.
You could argue that the house has become a manifestation of my career as an interior designer and embodies the epitome of my style. The exterior is built in a stucco vernacular with a pantile roof and shutters over the windows; a collection of my favourite features.
Gazebo is actually two houses connected by a colonnade. The main house is within the original structure, to which I added a drawing room and a library. The other side of the colonnade is the guest house, an entirely new structure with additional bedroom suites for when friends and family come to stay.
Hosting is an important part of the character of Gazebo, and there are always people coming and going, or popping in for drinks. Designing the main house and guest house to be separate was the best decision, as there is always space for people to stay, but I'm not rattling around in a large house when it's just myself.

The best adventure. I like all the courses, but my favorite are both Rita Konig interior design courses and Anna Jones. Excellent!
