The Treillage Room
The sun room is the main entrance to Gazebo, and is also called The Treillage room thanks to the beautiful treillage detailing that line the walls.
- Growing up in New Zealand, verandas and sunrooms were commonplace, and I knew I wanted to include one at Gazebo.
- The entire room is lined in beautifully ornate treillage, which makes a spectacular statement as you walk in.
- The curtains are in 'Bowood' chintz by Colefax and Fowler.
- A round table from Maison Jansen greets you as you enter the sun room, and is always filled with potted plants or flowers.
- Wicker armchairs allow you to take advantage of the sea view beyond the French windows, and I like to read here in the mornings.
- A central ceiling skylight provides a beautiful shaft of light right into the centre of the room, and is emphasised with a suspended Moroccan lantern.
- A pair of columns line the partition between the sun room and the drawing room to differentiate between the two spaces.

For more than three decades, Veere Grenney has shaped the landscape of international interior design with an eye for timeless elegance and a deep respect for tradition. Having begun his career under Mary Fox Linton, and later serving as a director at Colefax and Fowler, Veere went on to establish his own company in central London in 1996, one that continues to define the art of classic contemporary living.
His work has been consistently recognised at the very highest level with Veere holding a place in House and Garden’s Directory of 100 Leading Interior Designers for the past seven years, alongside being named one of Veranda’s ‘Magic Makers’ in 2013, and additionally is a proud member of Architectural Digests prestigious ‘Top 100’.
