How to Make a Table Runner

It's easier when working with low-lying arrangements for table runners as you aren't battling with the height.

For This Spring Arrangement I Used:

  • Philadelphus (as the foliage)
  • Variegated pittosporum
  • Astilbe
  • Scabious

If It's Summer You Could Use:

  • Alchemilla mollis
  • Sage (as the foliage)
  • White sweet peas
  • Lilac scabious
  • Poppy seed heads
  • White nigella

If It's Autumn You Could Use:

  • Weigela (as the foliage)
  • Dahlias
  • Hydrangeas
  • Japanese anemone
  • Cosmos

Remember to put in foliage to hide your tape. I am using green plastic window boxes from B&Q when making table runners. If you have very airy flowers, you can actually get away with them being a bit higher because they're not going to block your view.
