Project 1 - A London Townhouse
A Bold Cloakroom
Cloakrooms are one of my favourite spaces to design - I love the challenge of a small space and find it's a great room to really push the boat out with luxury finishes and design flourishes.
If you have a tentative client, a cloakroom is a great way to gently introduce them to bolder design choices.
- We have lined the walls with walnut wood to give a real wow-factor.
- A Japanese-inspired back-lit screen above the sink and behind the mirror negates the need for wall lights and provides a beautifully flattering and soft glow to the room.
- A large custom cosmic black marble sink adds a sense of undeniable luxury and elegance to the space.
Note: A cloakroom and a powder room refer to the same thing — a small downstairs toilet, typically without a bath or shower. The two terms are simply regional variations, with "cloakroom" being more commonly used in British English and "powder room" favoured in American English.
