Introduction
A Broad Approach to Interior Design
In this course, I hope to demonstrate my design philosophy, as well as show you the processes I follow to create a beautiful home.
My Approach
It has always been important to me to ensure my work is varied and broad-ranging. I work on projects in a host of different styles, in both countryside and city settings - and my approach to their design is equally as eclectic. From prestigious galleries to flea markets, my sourcebook ranges from the high to the low, giving my work a sense of life and character. No matter the size of the project or budget, comfort and elegance are the prevailing pillars of my design philosophy.
Style is Circumstantial
I always allow the 'style' of my designs to be influenced and informed by the unique characteristics of the specific project I'm working on. To determine the style, I will ask myself the following questions.
- What do the clients want and need?
- Where is the project, and how does this inform the design?
- How will the house be used?
- What lifestyle do my clients have?
