Making a Christmas Wreath - Part 1

I use sphagnum moss because it is easy to rehydrate if it dries out.

Making a wreath can be messy, so lay down newspaper or work outside. I suggest tying the moss in place with the reel wire, pulling against yourself as you go.

When in doubt, go bigger. The moss should be packed as tightly as possible. If you find a Christmas tree supplier, you might be able to negotiate for offcuts that can be used in your wreath.

For This Autumn Arrangement I Used:

  • Metal base (wreath ring)
  • Reel wire
  • Mossing pins
  • Sphagnum moss
  • Straw wreath base
