T-shirt yarn is chunkier than ordinary yarn, so in this lesson, Maria will be showing you a way to handle the t-shirt yarn to make weaving easier.
STEP 1: Unravel the T-shirt yarn from its ball.
STEP 2: Take the end and hold it in your palm so that it dangles down and the yarn sits in the gap between your thumb and forefinger.
STEP 3: Loop the length of the yarn around your thumb, across your palm to the gap between your little finger and ring finger.
STEP 4: Take the yarn behind your little finger and round to the back of your hand to the gap between your thumb and forefinger. You are creating a figure of 8 shape.
STEP 5: Keep going, stopping before the bundle of yarn gets too chunky to fit easily through the warp.
STEP 6: Cut the T-shirt yarn. Take the end around to the middle of your palm and then under the centre of the figure of 8 up through the middle and secure it with a knot.
STEP 7: Remove the yarn from your hand. This bundle of yarn is now much easier to use as the thread can easily be pulled free.

The best adventure. I like all the courses, but my favorite are both Rita Konig interior design courses and Anna Jones. Excellent!
