The Garden Centre - Seeds
A garden centre is a great space for seeing lots of seeds together. It makes you think about how you will select seeds and plugs. As Arthur looks at the seeds, he considers what he would grow from plugs and what he would grow from seeds.
As a rule, he grow sweet peas and nasturtiums from seed. He would rather buy a delphinium plant than grow it from seeds. His focus when it comes to seed is on the foliage, shape, and texture. It's always interesting to see what you gravitate towards.
Wildlife Seed Mixes
Wildflower seed mixes are good for scattering seeds directly on top of pots or window boxes. However, it is worth checking to see if they are perennials or annuals.

Named one of the most influential young UK gardeners by Architectural Digest, Arthur Parkinson is a gardener, florist and author with a penchant for growing flamboyant blooms and raising chickens. After studying horticulture at the Royal Botanical Gardens of Kew, Arthur went to work for plantswoman Sarah Raven at her farm in East Sussex to pursue his passion for growing cut flowers. He later became head gardener for the potter Emma Bridgewater, which inspired his first book, The Pottery Gardener.
