A wreath isn't just for Christmas! In this lesson, Willow shows you how to make an enchanting spring wreath.
From the Lesson Workbook
A Spring Wreath
I suggest putting the moss in a bucket, letting it soak for twenty minutes, draining it, and then rehanging it. You should always buy more than you need, so you should be generous.
For This Wreath I Use:
- Violas
- Sphagnum moss
- Wreath ring
- Reel wire
- Bowl
- Secateurs
- Mossing pin
I suggest mixing various colours of violas. You can also use covered wire or metal instead of reel wire. Use reel wire to attach the metal base. Attach it gently but firmly to the wire.
You don't need to worry if there are any holes; they will be filled with moss later. Make sure the wire is in the right place. I recommend varying the direction in which the violas are placed.
Attach the wreath to the moss with mossing pins. You should check on the wreath from time to time to see how it's doing.
