Typically kitchen’s tend to be rooms filled with hard surfaces and cold materials; Rita’s job in this project was to soften the room and make it feel more comfortable

Decorating the Kitchen

Large parts of the design for this space were already set when I was brought onto the project; my job was to add the decorative elements to soften the room and make it feel more comfortable.

Collaborating with Other Creatives

There is real beauty to be found in working alongside other designers on projects, especially if their talents lie in areas which aren't necessarily your strengths. It can encourage you out of your comfort zone, as well as generate fresh and new ideas.

Similarly, when a client has a strong desire to include something, it can take you down a different creative path. It wasn't my idea to wallpaper this space, but actually it works beautifully and completely transforms the mood of the space.
