A completely new space that was created when I bought the neighbouring flats, we have utilised it by installing the staircase here.
- The radiator cover needed to be very deep, so I topped it with a stone surface to make it feel more like a console table.
- A pleasant surprise was that I could fit a hall chair into the space, which I didn't think was possible when looking at drawings of the space.
- It's a clever idea to opt for a patterned carpet on a staircase, as it's much more forgiving in high traffic areas.
- If you can, it's really lovely to use things you already have in different places, as they take on a whole new personality.
