Taking a short walk down the street, we arrive at the shop and studio of artist Paula Greif. Buying art is incredibly personal, and should be approached slightly differently to antique sourcing or shopping.
Tips for buying art, sculpture and craft
- If you are buying for yourself, trust your instincts. If you are particularly drawn to a piece and instantly love it, that's a very good sign.
- When buying for a client, it's best to visit galleries and shops together so that you can guide and encourage, but ultimately leave the decision making to the client.
- Ceramic art pieces and sculptures are understandably more expensive than ordinary plates and vases, but they will be displayed with more pride and really cherished.
