The operations pillar of our business works closely alongside our design team to project manage and look after the procurement.

The Project Management and Procurement Team

• The procurement stage is incredibly important and time-consuming. You need to be good with spreadsheets, be very organised and have astute attention to detail.

• Interior design is approximately 50% creativity and 50% logistics, and equal attention should be paid to both sides.

• The project management team will be involved with the client from the very beginning, managing the key milestones, timelines and ensuring the process is as smooth as possible for everyone.

• Project managers are also responsible for creating the budget document, detailing both the estimated and eventually actual costs for the entire project.

• The project managers and procurement team really are the ones who help to turn ideas into reality.

• On most large projects, there will be an external project manager or quantity surveyor who will be working for the client and ensuring the overall project is running as it should.
