Part 14- Attaching Dacron to Your Seat
For extra comfort and cosiness, a layer of polyester or Dacron will help to smooth over any edges for a softer seat.
- Due to the style of my chair, I won't be adding foam to the seat – a box cushion will be providing comfort instead. I will however be adding a layer of Dacron or polyester to offer a little softness.
- The polyester layer needs to be a little smaller than the seat, so as not to create too much bulk at the frame. Cut to size using fabric scissors.
- Attach to the seat by spraying glue onto the hessian, avoiding the pleat, and pressing the polyester in place.
