Part 14- Cutting the Foam
Your cushion cover is now fully constructed, so it's time to begin work on the inner padding.
- Place the template for the top seat section on top of your foam, avoiding any damaged or uneven sections as these will show up through your cushion cover.
- Draw round with a Sharpie, including the extra 0.5 in. you added for the seam allowance as this will ensure your cushion is plump and full.
- Using a foam cutter or electric knife, begin to cut along your drawn lines. Be sure to keep the blade exactly upright to get a completely straight edge.
- Mark the front edge of your foam in case your cushion isn't exactly square.
