As well as tools, there are certain materials to source before you embark on your project. You may have already chosen your main fabric, but there are additional layers underneath to consider too.
- 2 x large sheets of wood – I'm using 18 mm plywood
- 1.5 inch. foam
- Dacron or polyester – I'm using a 6 oz weight
- Chosen fabric
- Fire retardant layer if your chosen fabric isn't fire retardant
- Studs, piping cord or fringing depending on your design – I'm using No. 8 rope piping cord
- Back tack – 1 cm wide
- Fabric to cover the piping
- Measuring tape to measure the width of your bed
